Part of the WMS (Warehouse Management System) that’s at the heart of McCook Cold Storage is the online inventory function.
At first, this may seem like a simple feature (and it is). But over the course of a year, the ability to check product inventory online can add up to significant savings, by keeping tabs on product on hand vs. product allocated towards orders.
The amount of product received in a day, and what items are on those pallets are also available, as is the shipping history of a product. In the event of a food safety issue or recall, this may be the single most important feature that McCook offers to our customers.
